July 15, 2024 - post Trump rally assassination attempt

I woke up this morning to see a FB friend's post about t-shirts she was selling. It has a picture of Trump fistpumping after getting shot in the ear. So, this is for her and others I have seen selling these types of merchandise.

WTF! I understand your patriotism and the need to bring people together as a country, but maybe you need to read the room. Before you go making your t-shirts to sell, think about the family of the man who actually died a hero. Corey Comperatore, a former fire chief, took a bullet to the head while shielding his wife and daughter. I'm glad Trump is fine and yes, it could have been a lot worse, but profiting off an event that took a life is just next level... at the least, cluelessness, at the worst, narcissism. I mean DAAAAMN, those shirts are being made fast. C'mon.

If you really want to show your support for our country, help out the family and make a shirt with Mr. Comperatore's face on it along with the word HERO. Then send the profits of the sale to the family for funeral expenses, etc. There is a go-fund-me, apparently, so contribute to that. I imagine if you sold your shirts and told people the profits go to the family, you would get a lot of sales.

If you want to read more about Mr. Comeratore, visit this page:

Oh and a random thought....Graham Allen... I know you'll never see this, nor would you care about one random person's opinion, but you're clickbaits have become next-level annoying. I've seen phishing posts with less enthusiasm. Just get to the point in your post and be done with it.

Enjoy your Monday, Lex!
